Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Animax viewers will also be among the first in the world outside Japan to enjoy the highly anticipated FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD when it debuts 10 April 2009 across Asia on Animax, within just 6 days of the series' debut in Japan. Airing Fridays at 8pm, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD will be the third on-screen rendition of the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, following the first hit anime series Fullmetal Alchemist and blockbuster movie sequel Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa, both spun off from the best-selling manga of the same title by Hiromu Arakawa. Set in a fictional world where alchemy is the prevailing science, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD sees Elric brothers Edward and Alphonse continue their perilous journey to find the legendary Philosopher’s Stone. They are seeking the magical artefact to restore their bodies after a failed alchemy experiment to revive their mother cost Edward’s leg left and arm, as well as Alphonse’s entire body, leaving his soul affixed to a suit of armour. What lies in store for the brothers in this brand new anime series, tune in to Animax to find out!
